2-b Productions is lucky to have Jill Baker on its team!

Jill Baker

Jill has been involved in Speech and Drama from the age of eight, performing in local festivals and acting in local drama productions until the age of 18. She continued her exam work to Gold Medal standard before becoming a primary schoolteacher where she taught - guess what - drama!

Jill is often seen treading the boards with the Kirby Muxloe Players, of which she is a committee member. Jill also directs and is a strong voice in the promotion of the Junior Players, being a firm believer in introducing children to live theatre in order to help develop confidence and team work.

Jill has taught Speech and Drama to examination standards and now runs the 2-b Drama class on Thursdays. These classes are open to children from age 5 years and up, the aims being to: build confidence

• expand the dramatic vocabulary
• prepare students to take part in productions and/or examinations
• develop the ability to participate in scripted and improvised work
• improve vocal strength and tonal qualities
• have fun!

 

Drama classes take place every term-time Thursday, 5.30 - 6.30pm

at Kirby Muxloe Village Hall, Station Road, Kirby Muxloe
