It's fun at 2-b ...

Conduct in class

All students and staff are expected to behave in a respectful manner towards one another. No physical lashing out or abusive language/behaviour will be tolerated. If anyone displays this kind of behaviour they will be spoken to. Any student or member of staff that 2-b Productions feels is bullying anyone else will be given a verbal warning and if the behaviour persists the individual will be asked to leave. While 2-b Productions shall make every reasonable effort to improve the knowledge and ability of the student, the student cannot expect to improve unless he/she fully co-operates with the teacher and in particular adheres to the practice sessions advised by the teachers.

Break-time

Please ensure that your child brings a drink with them to class. It should not be a fizzy drink. Guidelines about drinking during exercise do change from time to time, however our general approach is that it is OK to take very small sips during class if absolutely necessary. The children do like their break-time snack. However, they don’t have very much time to eat so please don’t pack much for them. We would also like to support the national trend towards healthy eating plans and so ask that you don’t include crisps, chocolate or sweets. Fruit and fruit bars are an excellent alternative. Please - no nuts or nut products!

Parental Presence

Parents are welcome to stay with their child for the first two weeks. Following this, we would encourage you to leave your children in our capable hands and return for them at the end of the session. The children do become distracted if they see you watching and lines can become blurred for them regarding who’s in charge. It is also unfair to other children whose parents have left them as requested. I like all the parents I meet but I’d rather have a class of children than a class of children plus a class of parents. It is a little awkward to ask parents to be quiet when teaching and believe me it has happened! Additionally, I have been made aware that too many people waiting could become a fire hazard.

Thank you for your consideration.
